Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care

A health and social care higher apprenticeship

This Level 5 Higher Apprenticeship in Care Leadership and Management consists of seven mandatory units including a research project, PLUS additional mandatory units relating to pathway chosen PLUS optional units. The pathways relating to this qualification are Residential Management, Management, Advanced Practice.

  • Employees must meet a minimum level of English and Math skills in order to undertake this course

Level 2 Certificate in Healthcare Support Services

A healthcare support services intermediate apprenticeship

This Level 2 Intermediate Apprenticeship in Health (Healthcare Support Services) is funded and consists of up to four qualifications.

If an employee already works in the health sector or are just starting their career as an apprentice, this is an opportunity to demonstrate their competence.

This apprenticeship training is flexible to suit various job roles within healthcare support services.

The employee must meet a minimum level of English and Maths skills in order to undertake this course.

Adult Care Worker Level 2

A health and social care apprenticeship standard

Adult Care Workers need to have the right values and behaviours developing competences and skills to provide high quality compassionate care and support.

To be eligible – employees must:

  • Be aged 16 years or older
  • Have been resident in the UK/EU for at least three years prior to commencing their apprenticeship
  • Be employed in England and have a Contract of Employment
  • Work for at least 30 hours per week
  • Not currently enrolled onto any other apprenticeship, or another DfE funded FE/HE programme

Lead Adult Care Worker Level 3

A health and social care apprenticeship standard

Lead Adult Care Workers may work in residential or nursing homes, domiciliary care, day centres or some clinical healthcare settings.

To be eligible – employees must:

  • Be aged 16 years or older
  • Have been resident in the UK/EU for at least three years prior to commencing their apprenticeship
  • Be employed in England and have a Contract of Employment
  • Work for at least 30 hours per week
  • Not currently enrolled onto any other apprenticeship, or another DfE funded FE/HE programme

Senior Healthcare Support Worker Level 3

Apprenticeship Standard for Senior Healthcare Support Worker (HCSW)

A Health and Social Care Apprenticeship

Ideally suited to employees with prior experience as a support worker and working towards an Assistant Practitioner or Nursing Associate post.

This apprenticeship training has a choice of three route-ways:

  • Senior HCSW (Adult Nursing Support)
  • Senior HCSW (Mental Health Support)
  • Senior HCSW (Children and young people)
